JEWISH HERITAGE MONTH PARTNER: Pointe Claire, Quebec
Pointe-Claire is a local municipality on the Island of Montreal with a population of about 33,000.
With a strong history during the colonial days of New France, Pointe Claire now serves as an important city in Montreal. As the Island of Montreal being home to a large Jewish population, the city of Pointe Claire has benefited greatly from the contributions from its Jewish residents.
We thank Mayor Tim Thomas for his support and enthusiasm in supporting Jewish Heritage Month in May 2023.
Pointe-Claire est une municipalité locale de l’île de Montréal qui compte une population d’environ 33 000 habitants.
Forte de son histoire à l’époque coloniale de la Nouvelle-France, Pointe-Claire est aujourd’hui une ville importante de Montréal. L’île de Montréal abritant une importante population juive, la ville de Pointe-Claire a grandement bénéficié des contributions de ses résidents juifs.
