B’nai Brith has developed a unique approach to help those less fortunate while protecting the environment.
B’nai Brith is proud to be the only Jewish organization in Canada to own and operate its own clothing donation program for the benefit of the community.
If you live in Winnipeg, Ottawa or the Greater Toronto Area, B’nai Brith makes it simple to donate with Donation Bins in convenient locations across these cities.
As a community-first organization, B’nai Brith hosts seasonal pop-up stores, where those in need are welcome to shop with “B’nai Brith Bucks” to stock up on what they need, at no cost to them.
In Toronto, we offer another convenient option to drop off your used clothes. In the spring, summer and fall, we regularly hold clothing drives in central locations for the community.
Clothing events will return in the Spring 2021.
Watch here for details.
Please note that our Home Pick-up schedule is suspended due to COVID-19.
In Toronto, if you have 10 or more bags, just give us a call and our trained specialist will come to pick them up further to all health and safety protocols. This is a free service.

By donating your used clothes, you impact the environment in a meaningful way by reducing your carbon footprint, reusing textiles that would otherwise end up in landfills, and recycling articles of clothing back into the community.
The average consumer disposes over 80 pounds of unwanted garments and textiles annually, which makes up roughly 5 to 10 per cent of the waste in Canada’s landfills. By donating your used clothes, you refrain from contributing to this growing problem and make a lasting impact on our environment.
Donating your used clothing will lead to a greater number of recycled fibres and materials, a wider selection of garments available to the needy, and more importantly, less waste in our landfills.
The National Association for Charitable Textile Recycling (NACTR) is a Canadian leadership initiative pioneered by several charity and non-profit organizations who recognize their combined strength as an asset to increase textile donation awareness, thereby increasing funding to individual social causes.
B’nai Brith Canada is proud to be a member of the Board of NACTR and play a prominent role on its government relations and marketing committees.
NACTR strives to unite all Canadian charitable textile collectors to significantly advance post-consumer textile waste diversion. Releasing the value in textiles benefits our communities and environment towards a future as a circular economy based society. Together with governments, businesses and non-government organizations NACTR strives to accelerate the diversion of post-consumer textile waste throughout Canada.
