MPP Will Bouma was first elected to represent Brantford-Brant in 2018.
Prior to his election to provincial office, MPP Bouma served as a Councillor on Brant County Council. MPP Bouma is also an established optometrist, having worked in both the US and Canada.
In 2020, MPP Bouma joined his colleague Robin Martin in co-sponsoring Bill 168, the Combatting Antisemitism Act, helping to propel the Ontario government to adopt the IHRA definition of antisemitism.
B’nai Brith is eternally grateful to MPP Bouma for contributing to the adoption of IHRA in Ontario. We thank him for his ongoing support of the Jewish community and for recognizing Jewish Heritage Month in May 2023.
Le député provincial Will Bouma a été élu pour la première fois pour représenter Brantford-Brant en 2018.
Avant d’être élu au gouvernement provincial, le député Bouma a été conseiller au conseil du comté de Brant. Le député Bouma est également un optométriste reconnu, qui a travaillé aux États-Unis et au Canada.
En 2020, le député Bouma s’est joint à son collègue Robin Martin pour coparrainer le projet de loi 168, la Loi visant à combattre l’antisémitisme, contribuant ainsi à inciter le gouvernement de l’Ontario à adopter la définition de l’antisémitisme de l’AIMH.
