A lifelong resident of Manitoba, Radisson Minister James Teitsma has been an active contributor to his constituency for over 20 years.
After earning an Honours degree in Computer Science from the University of Manitoba, Teitsma joined a small software company, which he helped expand to a leading global company with over 300 employees.
Minister Teitsma was first elected to the Manitoba Legislature in 2016 and was re-elected in 2019.
As a cabinet minister, he has held the portfolio of the Public Service Commission and is currently the Minister of Consumer Protection and Government Services.
Minister Teitsma was part of the Manitoba government that adopted the IHRA definition in 2022.
B’nai Brith thanks Minister Teitsma for his support of Jewish Heritage Month and for supporting the IHRA definition of antisemitism.
Résident du Manitoba depuis toujours, le ministre de Radisson, James Teitsma, contribue activement à sa circonscription depuis plus de 20 ans.
Après avoir obtenu un diplôme spécialisé en informatique à l’Université du Manitoba, M. Teitsma s’est joint à une petite entreprise de logiciels, qu’il a aidée à se développer pour devenir une entreprise mondiale de premier plan comptant plus de 300 employés.
Le ministre Teitsma a été élu pour la première fois à l’Assemblée législative du Manitoba en 2016 et a été réélu en 2019.
En tant que ministre, il a détenu le portefeuille de la Commission de la fonction publique et est actuellement ministre de la Protection des consommateurs et des Services gouvernementaux.
Le ministre Teitsma faisait partie du gouvernement du Manitoba qui a adopté la définition de l’AIMH en 2022.
B’nai Brith remercie le ministre Teitsma pour son soutien au Mois du patrimoine juif et pour son appui à la définition de l’antisémitisme de l’AIMH.
