An immigrant from Italy, Mike Colle moved to Canada at a young age, settling in the Toronto area.
After teaching high school for 18 years, Councilor Colle started his municipal career in 1982. He served as the Chair of the Toronto Transit Commission from 1991 to 1994.
In 1995, he was elected to Queen’s Park, where he served until 2018. Throughout his tenure, he served as Minister of Citizenship & Immigration and Chief Government Whip.
Following his provincial political career, Councilor Colle was elected in 2018 to represent Ward 8 Eglinton-Lawrence.
With a political career spanning multiple decades, Councilor Colle has greatly contributed to the democratic processes of both Toronto and Ontario.

Après avoir enseigné au secondaire pendant 18 ans, le conseiller Colle a commencé sa carrière municipale en 1982. Il a présidé la Commission des transports de Toronto de 1991 à 1994.
En 1995, il a été élu à Queen’s Park, où il a siégé jusqu’en 2018. Tout au long de son mandat, il a été ministre de la Citoyenneté et de l’Immigration et whip en chef du gouvernement.
Après sa carrière politique provinciale, le conseiller Colle a été élu en 2018 pour représenter le quartier 8 Eglinton-Lawrence.
Avec une carrière politique qui s’étend sur plusieurs décennies, le conseiller Colle a grandement contribué aux processus démocratiques de Toronto et de l’Ontario.
