JEWISH HERITAGE MONTH PARTNER: D'Arcy McGee
Elected for the first time in 2022, MNA Elisabeth Prass is a proud Jewish woman serving at the National Assembly of Quebec. She was one of two Jewish women elected to the National Assembly in 2022.
D’Arcy McGee has the largest proportion of Jewish residents among all ridings in Quebec, and MNA Prass has been a stalwart advocate for the Jewish citizens she represents.
Prass worked in various capacities in politics prior to her election to the National Assembly in 2022. She previously served as the Director for former D’Arcy McGee MNA David Birnbaum. She holds a graduate degree from McGill in international commerce and a Bachelor’s degree from Concordia University in sociology and political science.
B’nai Brith thanks MNA Prass for her dedicated advocacy for her Jewish constituents and representation of Jewish-Quebeckers in the National Assembly. We thank her for submitting a video for Jewish Heritage Month and for recognizing the many contributions of Jews in D’Arcy McGee to Quebec society.
Élue pour la première fois en 2022, la députée Elisabeth Prass est une fière femme juive qui siège à l’Assemblée nationale du Québec. Elle est l’une des deux femmes juives élues à l’Assemblée nationale en 2022.
D’Arcy McGee compte la plus grande proportion de résidents juifs parmi toutes les circonscriptions du Québec, et la députée Prass a été un ardent défenseur des citoyens juifs qu’elle représente.
Avant d’être élue à l’Assemblée nationale en 2022, Mme Prass a occupé divers postes en politique. Elle a été directrice de l’ancien député de D’Arcy McGee, David Birnbaum. Elle est titulaire d’un diplôme d’études supérieures de McGill en commerce international et d’un baccalauréat de l’Université Concordia en sociologie et en sciences politiques.
