JEWISH HERITAGE MONTH PARTNER: Coquitlam-Maillardville, British Columbia
Minister Selina Robinson is one of the few Jewish voices at the BC Provincial cabinet table. Born in Montreal to a Jewish family, Minister Robinson moved to Richmond, BC in 1978.
After graduating from Simon Fraser University with a master’s degree in counselling psychology, she worked at the Jewish Family Service Agency, where she eventually became Associate Executive Director.
She later became a member of the Coquitlamn City Council before being elected to provincial politics in 2013. During her time in government, Minister Robinson has served as Minister of Citizens’ Services, Minister of Municipal Affairs & Housing, Minister of Finance, and most recently, Minister of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills.
B’nai Brith is grateful to have Minister Robinson’s support for Jewish Heritage Month in 2023, and we look forward to our continued collaboration with her government.
