Unto Every Person There is a Name

B’nai Brith Canada is partnering together with the City of Montreal to commemorate Yom HaShoah through a Zoom ceremony on April 8th at 11:00 AM. We invite members of our community to join us in remembering and commemorating those whose who fell victim during the Shoah.
In addition to a short video, the ceremony will include six speakers, in honour of the six million Jews who perished, by lighting a candle and reciting the names of some of the victims of this genocide. The speakers are; Montréal Mayor Valerie Plante, Michael Mostyn, CEO of B’nai Brith Canada, David Levy, Consul General of Israel to Québec and the Atlantic Provinces, Rabbi Malkiel from Or Hahayim Synagogue, Rabbi Bright from Shaare Zedek Synagogue, as well as Lionel Perez, leader of the Official Opposition, Ensemble Montréal and Ya’acov Bauer, member of the B’nai Brith Quebec Council, reciting El Malei Rachamim.

B’nai Brith Canada collabore avec la Ville de Montréal pour commémorer Yom HaShoah lors d’une cérémonie Zoom le 8 avril à 11 h. Nous invitons les membres de notre communauté à nous joindre pour se souvenir et commémorer ceux qui ont été victimes de la Shoah.
En plus d’une courte vidéo, la cérémonie comprendra six orateurs, en l’honneur des six millions de juifs qui ont péri, en allumant une bougie et en récitant les noms de certaines des victimes de ce génocide. Les orateurs sont; La mairesse de Montréal Valerie Plante, Michael Mostyn, PDG de B’nai Brith Canada, David Levy, consul général d’Israël au Québec et dans les provinces de l’Atlantique, le rabbin Malkiel de la synagogue Or Hahayim, le rabbin Bright de la synagogue Shaare Zedek, ainsi que Lionel Perez, chef de l’opposition officielle, Ensemble Montréal et Ya’acov Bauer, membre du Conseil du B’nai Brith Québec, récitant El Malei Rachamim.
