Diverse Minds 2020-21
B’nai Brith Canada presents an exciting educational initiative that promotes diversity and teaches valuable lessons of inclusion to elementary and high school students. The Diverse Minds Creative Writing Competition invites high school students to reflect on the values of diversity and inclusion by writing and illustrating a story for elementary school students (Kindergarten to Grade 5). Through peer-to-peer learning, students lead the way in creating communities where everyone is valued. The goal of Diverse Minds is to empower our youth to become role models for each other and understand that their impact reaches beyond their classrooms.
PRIZES! What would a competition be without prizes?
The winning book will be published as a hardcover, full-colour book and distributed to all elementary schools and public libraries in the respective region. Imagine being a published author and illustrator before you graduate from high school!
La Diversité parmi nous 2020-21
B’nai Brith Canada présente une initiative éducative passionnante qui fait la promotion de la diversité et enseigne de précieuses leons d’inclusion aux élèves des écoles primaires et secondaires. La compétition d’écriture créative “La Diversité parmi nous” invite les élèves de niveau secondaire à réfléchir sur ces valeurs et à écrire et illustrer une histoire destinée aux élèves du primaire (de la maternelle à la 5ème année). Grâce à l’apprentissage entre pairs, les élèves ouvrent la voie à la création de communautés où chacun est accepté à sa juste valeur. Le but de “La Diversité parmi nous” est de permettre à nos jeunes de devenir des modèles les uns pour les autres et de comprendre que leur impact va au-delà de leurs salles de classe.
PRIX! Que serait un concours sans prix?
Le livre primé sera publié sous forme de livre relié en couleur et distribué à toutes les écoles primaires et bibliothèques publiques de la région. Imaginez être un auteur et / ou illustrateur publié avant de terminer vos études secondaires !
