By popular demand, NHL Hall of Famer Marcel Dionne and horse-racing legend Sandy Hawley will return as participating celebrities at the next B’nai Brith Charity Golf Classic, which will take place at the Club at Bond Head on Wed., June 12 , 2019.

“B’nai Brith has put on great tournaments the past three years and I wouldn’t want to miss this fourth one on June 12th for anything in the world,” said Dionne, the highest-scoring French Canadian player in NHL history.”These are Charity Classics in the truest sense.”

“Meeting people from this community has been an outstanding experience,” said Hawley, who will be returning for his second B’nai Brith golf classic. “I believe in B’nai Brith’s great causes and I’m honoured and grateful to be associated with the organization for this great tournament.”

Both Dionne and Hawley have been big hits at the B’nai Brith tournaments. Dionne has dazzled participants with his collection of sports memorabilia, which he has auctioned off and signed during the post-tournament dinner festivities. Hawley has wowed those who have attended with his sense of humour, old war stories and down-to-earth conversations.

Hawley, who married female jockey Kaoru Tsuchiya (MAZEL TOV!) on March 10 in Kentucky, is generally perceived as the greatest jockey in Canadian history. Hawley amassed more than 6,000 victories, including four Queen’s Plate titles, which is unmatched in Canada’s most prestigious thoroughbred horse race. Hawley also is a member of both Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame and the Order of Canada.

Other celebrities will attend the 4th Annual B’nai Brith Charity Golf Classic, of course, and we will announce their identities in communiques soon.

In addition to mingling with our high-profile celebrities, tournament participants will receive lots in donated giveaways, enjoy a fabulous lunch and dinner (all food and refreshments will be Kashrut observed), indulge in your favourite alcoholic beverages and play a round at one of the most prestigious golf clubs in Ontario.

There also will be some great contests, giving away vehicles, vacations and more!
