B’nai Brith Canada is thrilled to announce that Canadian horse racing legend Sandy Hawley will be participating in our 3rd Annual Charity Golf Classic on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Lebovic Golf Club in Aurora, Ont.
Former NHL star Gary Leeman will also return to our event to join our list of celebrities, which includes NHL Hall of Famer Marcel Dionne. Identities of other celebrities who will attend will be announced in communiques soon.

With a decorated career spanning more than three decades, Hawley is perceived by many as the greatest jockey in Canada’s history. He amassed more than 6,000 victories, including four Queen’s Plate titles, which is unmatched in Canada’s most prestigious thoroughbred horse race. Hawley also has won the Lou Marsh Trophy as our country’s greatest athlete and is a member of both Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame and the Order of Canada.
Leeman returns to our tournament by popular demand. His friendly and time-giving demeanour made him a hit in B’nai Brith’s first two golf tournaments. During a 15–year NHL career, Leeman won a Stanley Cup, racked up 466 points and became the second Toronto Maple Leaf in history to score 50 goals in a season.
Tournament participants will receive more than $1,500 in donated giveaways, mingle with celebrities, enjoy a fabulous lunch and dinner (all food and refreshments will be Kashrut observed), be able to nosh on tasty hor d’oeuvres, indulge in your favourite alcoholic beverages and play a round at one of the most prestigious golf clubs in Ontario.
There also will be some great contests, including two where you can win new vehicles, one where you can win a vacation and lots more!
B’nai Brith Canada relies on the generosity of our donors to realize our goals. All funds donated to our organization (including those collected from the B’nai Brith Charity Golf Classic) go towards:
