B’nai Brith to Co-Host Federal Election Debates Across Canada

September 4, 2019

OTTAWA – B’nai Brith Canada is teaming up with synagogues across the country to host local debates in the run-up to October’s federal election.

These debates will build upon B’nai Brith’s highly successful series of local debates in advance of the federal election in 2015.

Debates have been confirmed in the following ridings:

Mount Royal: September 17, The Spanish & Portuguese Synagogue

Eglinton-Lawrence: September 18, Beth Torah Congregation

Thornhill: September 19, Beth Avraham Yoseph of Toronto (BAYT)

Edmonton West: September 24, Beth Israel Synagogue

York Centre: October 17, Beth David Synagogue

B’nai Brith looks forward to announcing additional debates across Canada as Election Day approaches. The debates will focus on questions important to Canadians, along with key issues relevant to the grassroots Jewish community.

B’nai Brith reminds members of the Jewish community that they have various options for making their voices heard through their votes, notwithstanding that Election Day, Oct. 21, falls on a Jewish holiday.
