TORONTO – There is no justification for the vandalism that targeted a Jewish member of the Federal cabinet’s constituency office during the Labour Day weekend.
“B’nai Brith Canada is strongly condemning this horrific act of vandalism at the Toronto office of Evan Solomon [Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation],” said Richard Robertson, B’nai Brith Canada’s Director of Research and Advocacy. “Targeting our elected officials with hateful graffiti is an affront to our democracy. Those responsible for this antisemitic attack must be held accountable.”
Among the most offensive messages was the slogan “From the river to the sea” – a genocidal expression calling for the destruction of the world’s only Jewish state.
B’nai Brith Canada stands with Minister Solomon and calls on leaders at all levels of government to confront the escalating crisis of antisemitism with the urgency it demands.
