Last night, B’nai Brith Canada paid tribute to the memory of the victims of the AMIA attack and their pursuit of justice. Our League for Human Rights conducted a virtual commemoration service, to mark 27 years since the attack.
On July 18, 1994, the Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina (AMIA) Jewish Community Centre in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was destroyed by a terrorist bombing attack, killing 85 people and injuring hundreds more. It was the deadliest terrorist attack in the country’s history.
More than a quarter of a century later, justice has still not been served.
