B’nai Brith Canada is urging the public to join its new letter-writing campaign in honour of the United Nations’ 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence 2023.
We are demanding that the organizations and institutions linked to a dangerous letter denying the trauma experienced by the victims of Hamas’ violence against women break their silence and take action against those who deny, in their name, the gender-based violence committed by terrorists against women and girls, some of whom are still being held hostage in Gaza.
The letter in question not only denied that Hamas weaponized sexual violence, it also baselessly accused all federal politicians in the “so-called Canada” of inciting Islamophobic hate crimes and of facilitating genocide against, and the dehumanization of, the Palestinian people.
We have created an easy-to-use template to enable concerned citizens to send emails to politicians, community organizations, research community, and civil society organizations that endorsed the letter saturated with dangerous disinformation.
