Help B’nai Brith Feed the Needy this Chanukah

November 29, 2019

Dear Friends,

Each year before Chanukah, B’nai Brith Canada volunteers help us package and deliver holiday-themed food bags to the most vulnerable members of our community, including seniors, Holocaust survivors, widows and widowers, and individuals with disabilities.

This year, again, our goal is to reach over 1,000 people across the Greater Toronto Area.

We can’t do this without your support.

That’s why we’re asking for your help by sponsoring a Chanukah-themed food bag. By sponsoring a tax-deductible food bag at $18 per bag, you’ll provide essential goods to Jewish families or individuals living at or below the poverty line.

To donate, click here (page doesn’t exist).

We need volunteers in Toronto to make these efforts possible. We will need help with packing bags on Dec. 12 from 4-6 pm or 6-8 pm. We will also need help with delivering bags to the homes of the needy on Sunday, Dec. 15, starting at 9:30 am.

To register to volunteer, click here to contact our Community Program Manager, Cheryl Landy.

The more food bags you sponsor, the more Jewish Canadians can take part in this important holiday and follow our customs and traditions, supporting the B’nai Brith mandate of preserving Jewish unity and continuity.

Even by making a small donation, you dramatically and directly improve the quality of life for those in our community who face financial difficulties.

Thank you for your ongoing support of B’nai Brith Canada, the proud voice of grassroots Canadian Jewry.
