Twenty-four years ago this July, Buenos Aires’ Jewish community fell victim to a brutal terrorist attack. On July 18, 1994, the Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina (AMIA) was bombed, leaving 85 people dead and hundreds injured.
Home to a significant Argentinian Jewish Community, B’nai Brith Canada Winnipeg commemorates the AMIA attacks each year. On July 18 at 7:00 PM, B’nai Brith will host a memorial ceremony at the Asper Jewish Community Campus, which will include a candle-lighting ceremony and notable speakers.
