JEWISH HERITAGE MONTH PARTNER: Toronto - St. Paul's
Josh Matlow has served on Toronto City Council, representing Ward 12 Toronto–St. Paul’s, since 2010. Prior to his career on Toronto City Council, Matlow was a Toronto District School Board trustee from 2003 to 2010.
Born in Toronto, Matlow completed a Political Science degree at Concordia University in Montreal and attended a theatre school in Paris, France.
In 2003, Matlow was elected to the Toronto District School Board as a trustee and re-elected to the same position in 2006.
On City Council, Councillor Matlow serves as a voice of the Jewish community. He has often been at the forefront in reporting and calling out antisemitism and has been an excellent partner with B’nai Brith in combating antisemitism in Toronto.
We thank Councillor Matlow for his contribution to our Jewish Heritage Month campaign and for his tireless efforts in fighting antisemitism.
Josh Matlow siège au conseil municipal de Toronto, représentant le quartier 12 Toronto-St. Paul’s, depuis 2010. Avant de siéger au conseil municipal de Toronto, M. Matlow a été conseiller scolaire du district de Toronto de 2003 à 2010.
Né à Toronto, M. Matlow a obtenu un diplôme en sciences politiques à l’Université Concordia de Montréal et a fréquenté une école de théâtre à Paris, en France.
En 2003, M. Matlow a été élu au Conseil scolaire du district de Toronto en tant que conseiller scolaire, puis réélu à ce même poste en 2006.
Au sein du conseil municipal, le conseiller Matlow est la voix de la communauté juive. Il a souvent été en première ligne pour dénoncer l’antisémitisme et a été un excellent partenaire de B’nai Brith dans la lutte contre l’antisémitisme à Toronto.
