MONTREAL – Over 140 senior citizens, as well as caregivers, spouses and other family members, gathered for B’nai Brith Canada’s fifth Music Brunch for Seniors event in Montreal on Sunday.

It was the most well-attended seniors brunch since the pilot project launched earlier this year. Several staff members and volunteers also took part in the festivities.

Joanne Cutler, a long-time volunteer with B’nai Brith, yet again led the charge on the event. Cutler has previously taken part in many of B’nai Brith’s initiatives that support Montreal’s most vulnerable, such as packaging food with the MADA Community Centre or helping give the ladies of Chez Doris,  a day shelter for vulnerable women in Montreal, a makeover.

“We thank all our amazing volunteers for their enormous commitment, and appreciate the wonderful musical entertainment from The Absolutes. The audience absolutely loved them!” Cutler said. “It was a pleasure to see all the smiling faces.”

Cutler also thanked Rabbi Michael Whitman and Adath Synagogue for their involvement.

The next Music Brunch for Seniors events will take place on Dec. 2, Feb. 10, and April 7. Guests are encouraged to call Adath Israel to reserve seats or full tables at 514-482-4252.
