Dear Friends,

We are delighted to announce that registration for the 4th Annual B'nai Brith Charity Golf Classic is now open! This year's tournament will take place at the breathtaking Lebovic Golf Club in Aurora, Ont., on Wednesday, June 12, 2019.

Designed by renowned architect Doug Carrick, the Lebovic Club is a picturesque and challenging 18-hole championship course, spread across more than 150 acres. The tournament will offer players the chance to schmooze with celebrity guests, enjoy a great lunch and dinner, bid on amazing prizes, and play a round at one of the most prestigious new golf clubs in the province. All food and refreshments will be Kashrut observed.

Tournament co-chairs Steven Picov, David Berger and Marty York are expecting this year's event to be just as fun-filled and enjoyable as our tournament in 2018, when more than 100 golf enthusiasts assembled, under sunny skies, at the Lebovic Golf Club.

Great form from Gary Leeman at the 2017 B’nai Brith Charity Golf Classic

They’re baaaaackkkkk.

With only nine weeks left before tee-off, we are thrilled to announce that former NHL stars Mike Palmateer and Gary Leeman will be back to sign autographs, schmooze and shake hands as participating celebrities at our 4th Annual Charity Golf Classic, which will be held at the Lebovic Golf Club in Aurora, Ont., on Wed., June 12, 2019.

“I am thrilled to be coming back to this great event,” said Leeman, who produced 466 points during his 15 NHL seasons, was part of a Stanley Cup-winning team with the Montreal Canadiens, and became the second Toronto Maple Leaf in history to score 50 goals in a season. “I've met a whole lot of nice people through B'nai Brith and I'm looking forward to seeing them and meeting new people on June 12.”

“I love the B'nai Brith Classic," added Palmateer, a former star NHL goalie who won 129 games as a member of the Leafs. “B'nai Brith does a whole lot of good work and it's fantastic to be part of its events.”

Leeman and Palmateer join an already star-studded class of celebrities attending the tournament, including NHL Hall of Famer Marcel Dionne and Canadian horse-racing legend Sandy Hawley.

Superstars Dionne and Hawley returning to B'nai Brith Charity Golf Classic

Sandy Hawley & Marcel Dionne

March 11, 2019

By popular demand, NHL Hall of Famer Marcel Dionne and horse-racing legend Sandy Hawley will return as participating celebrities at the next B'nai Brith Charity Golf Classic, which will take place at the Lebovic Golf Club in Aurora, Ont., on Wed., June 12 , 2019.

If you haven't registered to participate yet in the 4th Annual B'nai Brith Charity Golf Classic, and you'd like to, please do so quickly as we are rapidly approaching a sellout -- and we are not exaggerating.

"B'nai Brith has put on great tournaments the past three years and I wouldn't want to miss this fourth one on June 12th for anything in the world," said Dionne, the highest-scoring French Canadian player in NHL history."These are Charity Classics in the truest sense."

"Meeting people from this community has been an outstanding experience," said Hawley, who will be returning for his second B'nai Brith golf classic. "I believe in B'nai Brith's great causes and I'm honoured and grateful to be associated with the organization for this great tournament."

Both Dionne and Hawley have been big hits at the B'nai Brith tournaments. Dionne has dazzled participants with his collection of sports memorabilia, which he has auctioned off and signed during the post-tournament dinner festivities. Hawley has wowed those who have attended with his sense of humour, old war stories and down-to-earth conversations.

Hawley, who married female jockey Kaoru Tsuchiya (MAZEL TOV!) on March 10 in Kentucky, is generally perceived as the greatest jockey in Canadian history. Hawley amassed more than 6,000 victories, including four Queen's Plate titles, which is unmatched in Canada's most prestigious thoroughbred horse race. Hawley also is a member of both Canada's Sports Hall of Fame and the Order of Canada.

Other celebrities will attend the 4th Annual B'nai Brith Charity Golf Classic, of course, and we will announce their identities in communiques soon.
