5th Annual Charity Golf Classic Postponed to July 27, 2020

April 14, 2020

Dear Golfer,

I hope you and yours are keeping well and healthy and taking good care of yourselves during this challenging time of COVID-19. It is important to keep in mind that, regardless of the difficulties and frustrations we are facing, there is light at the end of the tunnel. We will eventually get through this period together.

I know we have all been eagerly looking forward to the 5th Annual B’nai Brith Charity Golf ClassicIt has in the past few years blossomed into a highlight of our summers. Many of us have become accustomed to setting aside this day for the camaraderie, bonding, great memories, celebrations, golf and, of course, important charitable causes.

Unfortunately, as you undoubtedly anticipated, the circumstances have made it impossible for the Classic to continue as originally planned. The event can no longer be held on its originally scheduled date of June 8, 2020.

However, we are remaining resilient in the face of these challenges and are doing everything we can to continue B'nai Brith's important work. The needs of our community have not taken time off during this crisis, and it is crucial that your generosity and support continue.

That is why we are pleased to announce that the tournament has been rescheduled. We are fortunate that we have been able to secure the initially planned venue, the pictureseque Thornhill Club, for the 5th Annual B’nai Brith Charity Golf Classic on July 27, 2020.

This is the fifth year that I have served in the voluntary capacity of chair or co-chair of the Classic and the tournament has become very near and dear to my heart, as it is to the hearts of my colleagues at B’nai Brith Canada and my fellow committee members. Seeing all of you on July 27, including our celebrity friends who have come to recognize our Classic as a must-attend event, will be more thrilling than ever for obvious reasons. In my mind’s eye, I’m envisioning another gorgeous, sunny, fun-filled and memorable day for the tournament. G-d willing, this will come to fruition.

Let me remind you that, because circumstances are evolving during the crisis, plans are still subject to change. We will be updating you as often as possible.

In the meantime, stay safe and healthy!

As Passover reminds us, our people have overcome unimaginable challenges throughout history. There is no doubt that, together, we will overcome this one, as well.
