Quebec Government Makes Donation to Chateau B’nai Brith Project

B’nai Brith Canada is expressing gratitude to the Quebec government for its donation to the Chateau B’nai Brith project.

Under the “Support Volunteer Work Program,” the Government of Quebec was pleased to present a cheque to the Residence Chateau B’nai Brith for all the energy and good work invested by B’nai Brith towards the members of the community.

The groundbreaking for the affordable, state-of-the-art and modern autonomous residency for seniors is planned for September 2016 with final completion of the project in the summer of 2017. The 129-unit subsidized seniors’ residence to will be located in Cote-Saint-Luc.

“B’nai Brith is grateful to the Quebec government for recognizing the desperate need for senior aff9ordable housing in our community,” said Harvey Levine, B’nai Brith Canada Quebec Region Director. “Through its generous grants and mortgage guarantees, it will help ensure that the isolated and frail seniors lacking the financial means will enjoy a better quality of life.”

Le Gouvernement du Québec fait un don au projet Château B’nai Brith

B’nai Brith Canada aimerait exprimer sa gratitude envers le Gouvernement du Québec pour son don au projet Château B’nai Brith.

Le Gouvernement du Québec était heureux de présenter un chèque à la Residence Château B’nai Brith dans le cadre du programme de Support du travail bénévole afin de souligner tout l’excellent travail et toute l’énergie investie par B’nai Brith à l’égard des membres de la communauté.

La première pelletée de terre pour la construction de cette résidence abordable et dernier cri pour personnes âgées autonomes est planifiée pour septembre 2016 et la fin des travaux est prévue à l’été 2017. La résidence pour personnes âgées de 129 unités sera située dans le quartier Côte-Saint-Luc.

« B’nai Brith est reconnaissant envers le Gouvernement du Québec d’avoir reconnu le besoin désespéré d’avoir une résidence pour personnes âgées abordable dans notre communauté » a affirmé le Directeur de B’nai Brith Canada de la région du Québec, Harvey Levine. « Grâce à leurs généreuses subventions et leurs garanties hypothécaires, ils nous aideront à nous assurer que les personnes âgées isolées, fragiles et précaires financièrement pourront profiter d’une meilleure qualité de vie. »
