Toronto, October 19, 2001… At the request of emergency task force personnel from the Toronto Police Services and Toronto Fire Department, the national offices of B’nai Brith Canada have been completely evacuated pending further inspection of suspicious substances sent to the organization and a complete screening of the entire premises. Hazardous materials experts are en route to the building after initial scrutiny determined sufficient cause for concern to warrant a comprehensive environmental investigation.
