B’NAI BRITH CANADA CONGRATULATES PRIME MINISTER PAUL MARTIN ON TAKING OFFICE

B’nai Brith Canada today congratulated the new Prime Minister, Paul Martin, and the newly-appointed members of Cabinet.

“We congratulate Prime Minister Martin on having assumed office,” said Rochelle Wilner, National President of B’nai Brith Canada. “Mr. Martin has succeeded in creating a strong Cabinet that truly reflects the ethno-cultural and geographical diversity of this country.

 

Frank Dimant, Executive Vice President, stated: “B’nai Brith Canada turns to Mr. Martin at this time when Jews are feeling more and more threatened, both here and abroad.  We are confident that Mr. Martin and his Cabinet will move to effectively ease these fears and tensions and we look forward to playing a role in accomplishing this goal.”
