For Immediate Release
Toronto, November 21, 2003 Bnai Brith Canada has called today on the University of Toronto to immediately cancel a conference planned for November 22 and November 23 on its campus. The sponsoring coalition Al-Awda Toronto has clearly endorsed all forms of violence including terrorism against Jewish civilians anywhere in the world and called for the elimination of the state of Israel as a Jewish homeland, in its principles of unity.
Bnai Brith Canada is planning a protest Sunday, November 23, 2003 at noon outside OISE, 252 Bloor St. West in the unthinkable circumstance that University administrators choose to allow the event to go ahead as planned.
