Ottawa, February 10, 2003

For Immediate Release

Ottawa — Warning that he could pose a danger Canadian security if allowed to return, B’nai Brith Canada today asked Citizenship and Immigration Minister Denis Coderre for assurances that the government would block any attempt by the United States to deport Ernst Zundel to this country.

“It is our position that Mr. Zundel is inadmissible under Canadian immigration laws,” stated David Matas, Senior Legal Counsel for B’nai Brith Canada in a letter sent to the Minister today, “It would be a disgrace to allow Zundel, a long time hate promoter and Holocaust denier, to re-enter Canada.”
