B’nai Brith Canada delegation in Israel for Global Forum for Combating Antisemitism
JERUSALEM, December 14, 2009 – A delegation of the senior leadership of B’nai Brith Canada, lead by Chief Executive Officer Frank Dimant, has arrived in Israel for the 2009 Global Forum for Combating Antisemitism conference. The conference, which will include leaders and experts from numerous nations, will take place on December 16-17, 2009 in Jerusalem.
The Global Forum will be chaired by Israel's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Avigdor Lieberman, and the Minister of Public Diplomacy and Diaspora Affairs, Yuli Edelstein. In attendance at the conference will be representatives from numerous nations including Members of Parliament, statesmen, diplomats, journalists, legal experts, NGO representatives, leading academic figures, and senior leaders of Jewish communities and organizations world-wide.
“B’nai Brith Canada will be on the ground in Israel working with our partners at the Global Forum in devising strategies to combat global antisemitism,” said Frank Dimant, B’nai Brith Canada’s Chief Executive Officer. “Every year, B’nai Brith Canada sends a delegation to the Global Forum, which is the world’s leading forum on the scourge of antisemitism.”
