The Institute accomplishes its goals through:
Government Relations Our Government Relations Office in Ottawa is Bnai Brith Canadas liaison with members of parliament, civil servants, and the worlds ambassadors. This office advocates on behalf of social issues and concerns of Bnai Brith Canada and has coordinated a number of successful lobbying campaigns. The Government Relations Office also facilitates Bnai Brith Canadas appearances at the Supreme Court of Canada, parliamentary committees, and departmental consultations. Bnai Brith Canada understands that the security of Israel and the security of the Jewish people worldwide are eternally linked. Through its Israel Affairs Committee, a primary focus of Bnai Briths work is Israel education and advocacy. The Israel Affairs Committee is part of the Institute for International Affairs. An impressive Public Lecture Program has been developed to better inform Canadians about Middle East developments. Educational programs focusing on Israel are cosponsored in association with various other organizations in the community. |
Consisting of volunteer experts in international relations and professional staff, the Institute functions as a distinguished think tank. Through its committee structure, the Institute has a grass roots membership which mobilizes to address issues of concern.
